Amino Vital
Amino acid supplements?
Anyone have any experience with amino acid supplements? How about Amino-Vital as a drink?
Oh sorry, forgot to mention that it's for cross country skiing, so I need it for long-term conditioning. I xc ski up to 5 days a week and race for my high school.
I've already taken amino-vital drinks almost daily, they actually taste pretty good, and I can definitely notice that it helps with soreness the next day btw. Just wondering how much it'll effect my long-term endurance conditioning.
I used to take horse tablet-sized amino acid pills; free-form and L-form. I also used to drink the nasty-tasting liquid form.
If you eat four to five balanced meals a day; train hard, but don't overtrain; you really do not need all of those supplements advertised in the trade magazines.
If you don't habve the time to eat properly all of the time, an occasional protein bar or quality protein shake will do.
Eat well, train hard and rest.
