Grass Juice
Wheat grass juice. Would it be healthy to put it in a bottle and store it in a refrigerator? and how long ?
I started taking 3 shots of wheat grass juice every morning. I usually go to the mall to let the juice bar make it to me. But now, I bought this growing kit and making my own but it takes some time of my busy day. I thought about buying 1.5 litar of wheat grass juice and put it in my refrigerator so I can just take my shots at home before work. I want to know it its healthy and how long could it be stored. I also want to know if its better if I drink it freashly juiced at the bar or from a stored bottle in the refrigerator. Would it lose any of its benifets while its being stored or not?
another think is, Would it be more healthy to mix it with another juice called "Power 4" which contain very healthy fruits and take them both in three shots.

Once you express wheatgrass juice from the plant, it starts to oxidize very quickly. This is like peeling a banana and then coming back to eat it later. You will of course find that the banana would be brown and mushy and that the taste, texture and nutrition have all changed for the worse. While you can't see the oxidation in wheatgrass juice, you can sure taste it and for this reason, it is recommended that you drink it within 20 minutes or so.
In our case, we have been drinking wheatgrass juice in the family for about 35 years. We discovered that you just have to grow it outdoors or it gets moldy and tastes bad. To do this, we began flash freezing the juice years ago at our farm and this has worked out very well indeed.
Our farm now focuses exclusively on wheatgrass juice and we grow, harvest, juice and flash freeze the juice. We then ship it out to customers throughout North America. It is a very practical solution to your problem as you simply take some out of the freezer, put some wheatgrass cubes in a glass and add some room temperature water to speed the melt. The juice tastes great and I'm sure you will enjoy it.
