HPV and a relationship?
I have recently found out that I have HPV high. I am currently living with my boyfriend of 2 1/2 years. I felt I had a beautiful life with him and tranquility. I was thinking of a future with him and possible children with him too. However, since this whole HPV thing I have been distant from him, depressed and crying during my times alone in the house thinking I am going to die. My pap smear is normal but my HPV test showed I have a high HPV. I go through moments where I am fine and next I am crying because I am scared I will lose my life to this virus. I have been taking Vitamin B- Complex and Folic Acid to help my immune system. I am frightened as if I have Cervical Caner. Probably because I lost my father to prostate cancer is probably why I am even more terrified. I am having problems dealing with this.
Hi Niki...I too have HPV, and I am engaged to the man (who I think) passed it to me.
First off--Mine was low grade, I had to get a biopsy and then get the cells frozen off my cervix, I go back in 2 months to see if the pre-cancer cells are still there, hopefully they are not. I thought HOLY SH** I HAVE CANCER AND I AM GOING TO DIE!!! But I am not going to die from this, IF I TREAT IT, and that's what I am doing.
But for you being high, there are still MANY treatments, there is a LEEP, Cryo, and others, I promise you will not die from HPV. Let your gyno run all the necesarry tests they need and they will help you!!
Next--I was depressed too, crying, wanting to be alone, thinking I was a freak! I did my research and found 1 in 4 women have this, so see we are NOT alone! Let your b/f in to help you...I pushed mine away b/c as far as I knew he gave it to me! I was angry and wanted to break up with him, but there is NO WAY a man would know they are carrying it, so please be patient with him. Eveything will work out!!
My b/f and I went through a rough patch like you are now, but it will pass I PROMISE!! Now we are engaged!! So I am very happy. Please do everything you can to help out this HPV and it will work out!!
